I started snowboarding when I was five years old! My Dad started teaching me and now I’ve grown to love it. I used to hate falling down ALL the time and I still do. I started snowboarding on the bunny hill and instead of a lift it had a magic carpet. A magic carpet is a thing that you stand on and it takes you up to the top of the hill. I had all sorts of troubles. Up until I was nine my parents taught me and then I got sent to lessons at Eldora and Winter Park. My first lesson I went to Eldora and I remember that my class was all boys!!! My second class I went to Winter Park and thank god I had some girls in my class. My last one we went to Eldora and I was getting really better at snowboarding! Today I would consider myself a pretty good snowboarder!:) I’ve also taught Meryl and Meredith how to snowboard! So, ya I would defiantly consider myself a good teacher and snowboarder!!!:) I enjoy snowboarding because when you’re going down a run, it fells like you are a penguin sliding on the ice. Like I said in my last blog I’m going snowboarding this weekend so I’m going to get my stuff ready.
This weekend, for the first time this year, I get to go snowboarding! I’m going with Meryl, Meredith, and some of Meredith’s and Lucas’s friends. We are staying up there from Friday to Monday in Dillon and we have three rooms! If you’ve seen the commercials there’s a Dew Tour in Breckenridge, and Shaun White is going to be there.(a.k.a. “The Flying Tomato”) Shaun White has gotten gold metals in the X games and the winter Olympics. I want to get there really early because I want to be able to see! A few other things that are going to be happening are:

There are going to be a few concerts through out the weekend and we are going to see All-American Rejects and 3oh3. We also might go to Keystone on Monday. I hope to have a really fun time.
What the heck is this place and where is it? It’s a resort located off of Honduras. I found out about Anthony’s Key from my scuba instructor. She said that you get to stay in these huts on the beach, and when you’re swimming, the dolphins will just come up and play with you. How FUN!!! Ever since I was really little I’ve loved dolphins and one time in Mexico I got to touch one and get my picture with it. A few reasons I want to go to there is because it looks beautiful, the dolphins, and the diving looks great! My Mom checked it out and she said it was fairly cheap for what you get, but we aren’t going on any kind of vacation any time soon. When we do start our trip around the world though, that’s defiantly one of the places I want to stop!:)
My Mom is a pretty cool mom, and her name is Michelle. As you’ve read in some of my blogs, my Mom LOVES to cook!! She cooks dinner almost every night and makes the best desserts ever. Things that she’s made recently are chicken salad, chocolate chip cookies, apple pie, ham, and steak. The chicken salad that she makes is very flavorful. The chicken salad’s basics are grilled chicken, homemade vinaigrette, romaine, caramelized pecans, and tomatoes. My Mom likes hers with blue cheese. In the Summer it has strawberries. Fall/Winter it has pears and apples. One of my favorite desserts that my Mom makes is apple pie. Yummy!! I love this dessert right around Thanksgiving and Christmas. my Mom makes a really good buttery brown sugar crumble top, and it always reminds me of the holidays!:-) I love my Mom so much and i really enjoy her food!
The year went quick, and what do you know Christmas is right around the corner! I’m really excited, Meryl’s family and my family might go tubing and then go out to eat. Some of the things we usually do on Christmas is I get up really early and wake my parents up, then we open our stockings and presents, and then we make breakfast. It depends but some times we go out and do things, or my mom makes dinner and we invite people over. I’m pretty sure that this year we are going some where. It kind of sucks that my mom isn’t making her fabulous food but that’s O.K. At lest we still get to hang out with our “family”.:-)

I love this time of year because of the Christmas music! Some of my favorite Christmas songs are Alvin and the Chipmunks: Christmas Song, I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas, and The Twelve Days of Christmas. I really hope to get a lot of presents this year! Got to go work on my list. I’ll talk soon.
This weekend I finally got scuba certified! I’ve been working on my scuba sense October!! First I took the kids scuba class and I read the whole scuba book, then I dove in the Blue Hole, New Mexico. Finally I got what I wanted in the beginning. I had such an amazing time and I learned a lot of new things that I didn’t know before, that were very important.
Lets get back to the part where I got certified. As you know I went to New Mexico to do this, and it was really fun. My family and I drove down there Friday before my scuba, it took like seven hours. We stayed at one of my parents old friends house and he has three golden retrievers. Then we left right after we woke up, and I was worried because I was getting over a cough and you can’t dive sick. When we got there I was really surprised that I was the only kid there!:-0 My instructor’s name was Tammi and she was really fun. I defiantly felt better after I got in the water. If you’ve ever been scuba diving, it fells like you are floating in the air, and you don’t even have to put any effort in to it. I went down about 48 feet altitude adjusted.( Blue Hole is 80 feet!) In the water there are Gold Fish and Koi. The second dive we went down 48 feet altitude adjusted again, and I could see the bottom! The third dive we went to ……… 48 feet altitude adjusted.(Go figure!) The next day we dove at 7:30 am and the water was a lot warmer than the air! We went down about 70 feet altitude adjusted!!!!!!!!!!OMG!!! When our instructor asked us if we wanted to go up, we all gave her a weird look because we were having too much fun! I’m scuba certified!!!! Ya, I just have to wait for my Padi diver card in the mail.
I bet you’re wondering who the heck these people are! As a matter a fact these two people are very important in my life!!!:) Meryl and Meredith are like sisters to me. I’ve known them for about 7 years!!!! Meryl and Meredith are my two best friends in the whole world! They’re sisters, and they live right across the street from me. My life would be very different without meeting the sisters that I never had. Meryl is the one I hang out with most of the time. I hang out with them both but we do the same things in different ways. Meredith is 14 years old and Meryl is 13. Oh, and I’m 12! A couple years ago Meryl and I had a really fun time making sugar cookies. We were decorating the cookies with sprinkles, and we made a mess!! It was so much FUN!!!!!!!!!!!! One time I was with Meredith and I was tickling her and she accidentally kicked me in the nose, and I apparently made a really weird face and she would not stop laughing. It must have been a pretty funny face! Their family is really close to mine and we like to do some really cool things together!!! We like to snowboard, have holidays with them, and just in general hanging out. I love them so much and I hope that we never loose contact with each other!!!<3
My weekend started off on Thanksgiving. It was going pretty good until I started to feel sick right before all of our guests started to come over. I was stuffy and achy. After everyone was here I finally started to feel better. We invited my friend Sierra over and we had a very fun time. Sierra ended up spending the night. The next day we made pancakes, cleaned my room, and then we went to the Apex. Sierra and I spent a lot of time at the pool, we stayed until like 6:30p.m. After the pool Sierra’s mom took us to Denny’s to eat some dinner. When they dropped me off at home I didn’t feel so good.:,( Oh, and when we were swimming it was the first snow fall!!!!!! Surprising I thought it would be on Halloween.) On Saturday I tried on my snowboard gear and it didn’t fit. We went downtown to the 16th Street Mall and we bought new snow pants and a new jacket. Yesterday I felt horrible and yesterday was my scuba review class!!!!!!!!! Since you can’t dive sick I couldn’t go. I have a terrible cough and my neck and back hurt. Being sick sucks!:( Well i guess you could say I had a half good and half bad weekend.:)
