Today and Tomorrow

The other day I wrote an e-mail to my old art teacher, Ms. Irvin, to see if she needed any help in the art room.  The next day she said,”Sure, any day… is great!”  So today I’m going to help out.  I don’t know what I’m going to do there, but I am excited to be helping Ms. Irvin.  My Mom and I are also taking a bike ride to the library, to pick up a book that I have on hold.

Tomorrow my Dad’s uncle Terry is coming to Colorado.  He’s going to help us fix the concrete by the pool filter, because it’s all messed up.  I haven’t met him before, so I’m kind of interested in meeting him.  I have no clue how long he’s staying, but I hope he’s nice.  I look forward to the next two days, and I hope to have a good time.

3/15/09 to 3/16/09

On Sunday morning, my grandpa, Mom, Dad, and I went out to eat at an Irish restaurant for breakfast.  A little while after breakfast my great grandma Czajkowski, and aunt Mary Ann came over before we went and saw grandma Annie.  We sat around and talked and before we knew it, it was time to go, time blew by fast! When we went to see grandma, we made sure that we drilled it in her head that she needs to take her meds.  I’m pretty sure it was in her head that if she didn’t, she couldn’t move from Madison Center.

Monday, my Mom found another good place that she could see grandma living in, called Tangewood.  My Mom really liked this place and thought grandma would like it too.  When we told grandma about it, she loved our excitement, and she was all about moving there!  They said they would come evaluate her on Tuesday.

10 Pens

10 Pens! :)

10 Pens! :)

Barack Obama came to Denver yesterday.  He came to sign the Stimulus bill at the Nature and Science Museum.  I only know little about it, so I thought it was a little boring.  I know that it’s very important for our future and that 787 billon dollars is a lot of money!  My Mom and I watched it on TV for almost an hour.  When the president was signing he said, “I have to use ten pens!”  He used ten pens so that he can give them to suporters of the bill.  Obama definitely seemed very happy and smiley! :)   After he signed the bill, he said something like, ‘there it’s done’ or ‘DONE’.  He sounded hungry, I know I would have been too if I just got off a plane and finished giving a speech.  Stay tooned for my TV or movie review tomorrow!!(It’s lots more EXCITING!)

Going Across The Country On A Train

amtrak-train1

My Mom and I are going to Indiana soon.  We don’t know how soon yet.  We might be going out there on a train.  I’m wondering what it’s going to be like and how it’s different from traveling in a car or plane.  I guess it will be different from a car  because the train has beds, tables, and you can walk around in them.  When I say that you can walk around, I mean you can go into the other cars, like the restaurant car or the lounge.  I hope we get a sleeper car.  It has a table that transforms into the bed.  If we don’t get the sleeper, it’s still o.k. because you have more leg room and you can use your cell phone.:)

A thing that sucks about the train is that it takes longer to get where you are going!  Since we are going to Indiana, the train doesn’t just go from Denver to Indiana, we have to stop in Chicago.  We’ll be there for about six hours, and then we have to get on another train to Indiana.  My Mom and I want to go wander around the city and go some where nice to eat.  By the time we get to Indiana it’s going to be late.  That’s definitely when I’m saying GOOD NIGHT!!!amtrak

My HAIR!!!

Last night I got my hair done.  I got caramel and blond streaks.  I went to the beauty college down the street from my house.  When my Mom and I got there,  it took her forever to put all the foils in.  So by the time she finished all the foils the bottom ones had been in there for almost two hours!!!  What I’m trying to say is that the bottom ones were done by the time she finished the top ones, and it was getting really late.  I went and sat under the hair drying thing and waited and waited and then finally they took me out.  The top ones weren’t quite finished yet so they had 2 people taking out the bottom ones and they were wiping the color stuff off with a towel and then putting conditioner in and pulling,…. it hurt!!  Then the person that was doing my hair checked the top ones and she said they were ready so she rinsed off my hair. She started to blow dry it and I was suppose to get my hair cut too but it was late.  But any way, the blond color I had on the top didn’t stay in long enough and the color on the bottom was the color I want on the top!  Another thing that happened was the caramel on the top was spotted!(It looks like a cheetah!)  Since I didn’t get the cut I’m going back soon, and her teacher said that when we come back to get the cut they will fix the colors on top for free.  It’s a good thing that they said that, because I was really mad at the time.

Favorite Meal of the Day?

My favorite meal?  Oh that is so easy!  It’s definitely breakfast.  That or dessert!:)  I’m pretty sure that they are equal at my most favorite.  Breakfast is one of my favorites because a good way to start off the day is to eat lots of sugar and I like a sweet day!!  That is not the only reason I like breakfast. I like it because of all the different choices of cereal to chose from.  I love dessert because it gives you sweet dreams and because dessert ranges from pineapple upsidedown cake to tiramisu.  Another thing I like about dessert and breakfast is that you can have breakfast for dessert and dessert for breakfast!  One of the desserts that I don’t like is tiramisu!  Some of the breakfasts I don’t like is bacon and Rasin Bran!(yuk)  Lets look at the bright side, what kinds do I like.  Breakfasts that I like are cereal and eggs with chesse on them.  My favorite dessert is yellow cake with chocolate!(Now that’s YUM!)  What about you what’s your favorite?  Write a comment and let me know.:)

What Would It Be Like To Be In Malia’s Shoes?

What would it be like to move into to the most famous house in the country and have cameras surrounding you, because your dad is the president?  As you probably know Malia is one of Barack Obama’s daughters.  She is ten years old and is in 5th grade.  My Mom was asking me earlier today, what would I do in her shoes or what would I do if I woke up in the White House?  The answer to the second one would probably be to ask if I could invite some friends over and play Hide-and-Seek or Tag!:-)  The answer to the first one is go explore the house and try to find the secret passage ways and start decorating my room.  Something that we have in common is that both of our life’s are going to be a little crazy this year, Malia gets to live in the White House and I am going to be traveling around the world soon.  Also we are both going to have to make new friends where ever we end up.  Malia and I are about two years apart.  It would be awesome if we could meet because I think we have a lot in common.  Today I have been trying to find her e-mail.  I found her on MySpace, malia but I don’t know if it is really her or if it is just one of those people that say that they are famous people so they can have lots of friends.  Well if anyone who is reading this knows her e-mail please write a comment.

M.L.K

Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day!  Today is a very important day in history.  This year especially because Obama, the first African American  president, will be sworn into office tomorrow.  I just watched Martin Luther King’s I Have a Dream speech.  It made me feel so lucky to be able to have my rights to hang out with my friends, to be able to go to school with other people(Or at least when I went outside my home),  and to be able to share a water fountain with everyone.  It makes me realize that the people living today are very lucky, because the country would be very different without religious and civil rights!!!!  I’m a quarter Asian and my dad is half Asian,  it means a lot to me that my mom and dad were able to be together and have me.  My Dad has told me that when he was little he was made fun of because he looked Chinese.  Never judge a book by it’s cover or as Martin Luther King said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

I Think We Are Going To Leave Soon!:):(

I’m sad and I’m happy at the same time.  We are trying to sell the house so we can take our trip around the world and probably move to Hawaii.  I’m happy because I want to go on a trip but I’m sad at the same time because we won’t be able to bring our pets with us and I won’t be able to see my closest friends, Meryl and Meredith.:(  I’m also kind of happy that if we move that gives them a reason to come see Hawaii!  We will defiantly be able to see our pets again when we settle into a house, but when we are on the trip someone is going to watch them.  I’m really excited to go to different contents other than Central and North America! The places I want to go to are Anthony’s Key Resort off of Honduras, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, Madagascar, Italy, and Peru.  I’m also really excited to go to the ocean because I want to learn to surf!  I don’t know how to feel about this whole trip around the world thing.  A few months ago I really didn’t want to leave because I just kept on seeing all of our stuff being packed away in boxes, and I thought that we were leaving really soon.  It mad me cry a lot.  Now, I kind of want to leave because I haven’t been on a trip in three years!!!  My last trip, I went to Hawaii.  It was so much fun!  No matter how soon we leave and no matter how much I miss my pets and friends, I KNOW I’ll have fun!!!!!
